What do you dislike about your current mouse?

I have been pondering over my optical mouse.Since, it's demise after supporting me for so many years. It was sad we had to part away. But, since then I have been researching about mouses and I feel I am unable to find the one which I need? What about you?

Razer deathadder elite is the best I have so far.

Logitech G502 is even better. The scroll wheel can be locked, which helps when scrolling through the huge classes as well as Android Studio translation files where CTRL+F doesn't work. The weight is better, and it solves that annoying issue with Razer where it's hard to sync the colors to my playlist.

There's just one problem with the Logitech: it sometimes registers a click as a double click and fails to drag items properly.

A minor issue between the two is I like to copy/paste with my thumb. The death adder's fourth and fifth mouse button is even better placed.

Since I first tried a thumb controlled trackball, almost 20 years ago, it's been impossible for me to imagine ever going back to an ordinary mouse. Arm/wrist movement is just bizarrely inefficient and unergonomic in comparison. The only thing I dislike is the limited number of high quality models to choose from. Right now I have a Logitech MX Ergo which is fairly good, but I wish there were more alternatives.

Ultimately, I want a mouse that will so radically and miraculously rearrange my life that it is no longer necessary to spend so much time every single day in front of the same screens for hours on end. Short of that I could do with one that fits to my palm better. I recently picked up a Logitech g502 hero, there's a whole subreddit about that mouse I guess. Before that I had a Mionix Naos 8200, which was also quite good.

What I dislike: my mouse needs a surface (i.e., table) under it.

I just wanna lay back on my chair, move my fingers/wrist + multitouch to control the cursor on the screen.

I stopped using mice for trackpads and tracsticks and touchscreens.

Too much pain.

And rarely able to replace a dying one with the same model.

Have you looked at vertical mouses? Give one a try for 2 weeks, you might find it great (after you adjust).

Logitech G Pro superlight. I don't like how it doesn't have side-scrolling (I use that for changing tabs in browsers) and smooth scrolling, but I understand these were decisions ton save weight.

First wireless mouse I've used with no perceptible lag.

Are you a left handed? I know the pain! I have yet to find a decent mouse for left handed people out there.

The last 25 years I basically used mouses for right handed people. Currently it is the good old Logitech Performance MX.

I disliked about all my mice in my life so far that they use some kind of soft silicone finish which dissolves over time (after say 1/2 years) and becomes really sticky which makes the product unusable

I like the MX series. Keyboards and mice. Though I swear the latest mouse version has a lower battery life. I seem to need to charge it more frequently.

Seems like your question in the title is completely different than your description text...
