I seriously cannot believe music like this helps you with programming, but if it does for you then try "The Algorithm - Access Denied"[1].

For me no music is best. Followed by some white noise. Followed by classical, i.e. "Dvorak - Noon Witch"[2], "Ryuichi Sakamoto - Blu"[3].

All kinds of music get me to concentrate. If I am particularly sluggish, I choose faster paced, more energetic music to get me going(genre is not a factor). With the music on and pluged in my ears, I grab my laptop and literally walk around the premises (to keep the momentum going) till the battery runs out. This puts me in trance-like state of mind where I am able to work through ridiculous amount of technical material that would be very dificult otherwise. I do not recommend this, though. Probability of tripping and falling is too high.

Currently, I have Amazonia by Gojira[0] on repeat. My mind knows all the ins and outs of this track so it's a really tasty audio glucose for my brain while it's doing heavy lifting.

I can't really do any work in front of the computer without any audio. Pretty sure this is a bad sign but not sure of what.

Slipknot, tool, and the latest doom (2016, eternal) soundtracks work wonderfully for me.

Yes. All of Ministry’s early 90s catalog (e.g. NWO, Just One Fix).
