Do you love to code? Why?

Perhaps I am an anomaly, but for me the love of coding has to do with the creative cycle. The fact that I am creating something tangible, that other people can use and might even find interesting, and out of nothing more than my own thoughts is very exciting. It's probably the same reason why I enjoy finding/buying blank pads of paper and interesting notebooks, journals, great pens, etc. I experience the same feeling composing, performing and/or listening to music. In fact, I believe that coding and music (and math) have a lot in common, and many of the best coders I've ever known are also musicians themselves.

I can’t even tell anymore.

I’m constantly thinking and coming up with all sorts of ideas and projects based on things I read, see etc. Around the time, I get really excited about the idea of bulging these things and often come up with graded designs plans.

But I can never actually bring myself to build them. As soon as I’m staring at a text editor or need to start writing code I kinda just just quit, if I even get that far. In a week or too all my idea seems dumb, not worth it, etc. I don’t think I’ve actually written very much code in a long time.

Maybe because I’m not very good at it. Maybe I dislike the drudgery that comes with building the boilerplate. I don’t know.

The problem solving can be very stimulating.
