What's your experience with floor desk?

I was sitting incorrectly for many years which resulted in almost permanent lower back pain. I also have a standing desk so I mix sitting with standing every day but after a few months my feet started to hurt. Now I work in walking/running shoes with a foam but I'd like to try something different as it doesn't sound like a solution.

My final idea is a floor desk which is not popular at all but sitting on the floor seems like the most natural position. Have you ever tried that or are you familiar with a comfortable floor desk setup?

Hehe.. Yeah, I've been sitting on the floor programming for 25+ years. Not sure why, it just feels more...grounded. I used to use a low coffee table, but now just have keyboard on a big firm square cushion (that the Mac mini is also on), monitor on a little cube speaker, I sit on cushions. I like it.

sitting on the floor requires a pretty high degree of hip and hamstring flexibility to avoid rounding the pelvis under and introducing poor posture. You might be better off taking breaks to focus on improving hip mobility and work up to a sitting desk option as a longer term goal.
