where the deeper you go into a company office and further away from the entrance you are, the more that space is reserved for deep work, quiet and concentration?

Not sure - but as opposed to the "open office" concept, one thing I loved about Intel was the 6' tall grey cubicles they had -- the term you might be looking for is "lab"

Isn't it great being a lab manager where few people have access to your lab....

When I was at FB, and they were building MPK west... they only built 5 offices (with bullet proof glass and escape hatches to the below) for only the C-suite...

3,000 engineers in an open office environ.

Dope building, but enforces an anti-culture that I personally don't like...

no quiet privacy at your intended made desk - and you have to spend cycles "looking for privacy"
