Would you fly on a Boeing 737 Max?
All emotions and anger at Boeing aside, logically would you feel safe flying on a 737 MAX? I'm not asking who's at fault, long-term vision on the company, or anything like that.
Often after such serious public issues it could be said that now is the best time to fly on them since everyone is so aware (pilots, customers, government regulators, etc). Such as flying immediately post 9/11.
I have some upcoming flights and noticed a few are on the 737 MAX and just wanted to get you opinions on flying on one.
I have a friend who's a commercial pilot, not on 737s. He would. And I trust his judgment on such things.
I don't want to, but there will soon be little if any choice (other than driving). The main carriers serving my city have bought heavily into MAX so that'll be the air service.
I'd wait for evidence of no problems over at least 12 months of regular passenger flights before I'd trust that plane again.
In normal times, I fly over a 100-thousand miles a year. At no time will I knowingly fly on a 737 Max.
No. If nothing else then to vote with my wallet.
No, were it the only plane in the sky.-
I will certainly try to avoid it.
