How are YouTube AdBlocker plugins openly available on Chrome Web-store?

Couldn't Google take down any plugin from the webs-store that blocks ads on YouTube saying that plugin violated some obscure Terms of Service? Aren't they loosing a lot of revenue due to these plugins?

I think it's like the fight club formula, if the projected consequence of taking them down is less than the combined sum of all the users missing out on the ads, they leave them alone. If their popularity grows, they will take them down.

By the way, just because they are available doesn't mean they actually work. YouTube is very effective at working around ad blockers.

I guess keeping the ad blocker users in Google Chrome to continue collecting their data and also to keep them from recommending another web browser to their circle of friends is more valuable.

If Chrome stops supporting ad blockers easily, users can switch to Microsoft edge, Vivaldi, Brave, Firefox and probably many more.
