Click on screen efficiently with keyboard shortcuts?

Was just mentioning in a discussion how a good percentage of programmers and others in tech prefer keyboard over mouse when at all possible. It got me thinking that I've never seen a good way to click on a specific spot on the screen using keyboard shortcuts. Is there any such tool out there?

For example, an approach that comes to mind is a tool that allows you to press a kb shortcut like ctrl+m that displays a 26x26 grid on the screen for letters and numbers. You press a letter and number which highlights a cell in the grid then a new grid appears proportional to the number of pixels in that cell and you enter another letter and number to move the mouse cursor pointer there, then a keyboard shortcut to click or right click. Feels like something like that could become natural over time.
