What email tool do you think everyone should be using?

What tool do you use that you feel is a must-have when you're doing email?

I'm referring to services such as Front, Superhuman, Calendly, aliasing, parsers... How do you use it?

I miss plaintext. When I ran nmh the benefit was the tools were unix. Sieve, server side languages for tagging and sorting are enormously powerful. Free text search is powerful.

I know I use it but bayes spam checks worry me.

The only problem I retain, is how 822 envelope state is passed to me, so I can differentiate on header, body and envelope. If you lose envelope, some things become harder.

Like everyone else I live in much more complex tools now. Except for that one guy who still runs mutt.

I've been using aliasing pretty heavily. Currently I'm relying on Fastmail's built-in aliases. You can use your own domain and set it so that a wildcard *@yourdomain.com works. It helps me do more filtering than I would with Gmail filters (using sieve rules).

I'm curious what other people here have as their email tooling.

Tool: imapfilter (but you have to know some Lua programming)
