Careers vs. Jobs in Tech Companies
It appears as though companies in tech and probably employees too consider their time at a company as a "job", a short term thing as opposed to a long term "career" over the past decade or so. That means high attrition for companies (expensive problem of replacement) and the pain of job search for employees (who exactly likes interviews anyways). If you're a manager or an employee at a tech company: why do people leave tech companies? Is it despite a promising career?
Why stay a place that's going to give you a 3% raise, when another company will give you a 15% raise just to steal you?
