Why did htmx get bounced off the front page?

htmx was on the front page yesterday (for the 1.2.0 release) and was #1 briefly:

but it was quickly relegated to page 2, as a few people noticed:

  https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26129204

This happened the last time htmx was on the front page as well.

Is there a reason for this? I enjoy the discussions around htmx here on HN and it's the best way to get the word out about the project. When it gets bounced to page 2, there is far less engagement.

It seems technically relevant. Is there some autofilter that it is failing?
