How do you get invited to Clubhouse?


I’ve seen Clubhouse mentioned here over the last few days (mostly related to the recent 1BN valuation).

It seems the only way to get an invitation is to have a contact that’s already on Clubhouse (or be a celebrity). I (and likely most people) don’t meet those criteria at the moment.

Is there a form/method to getting invited that I’m missing?

The exclusivity is part of the hype to drive people to talk about it. If nobody you know is on Clubhouse (e.g., anyone that could give you an invite), is it really as good (or personally as valuable to you) as it's chalked up to be? Network effects haven't taken hold yet.

If they had a better marketing campaign, they'd be taking e-mail addresses on their homepage instead of CTA'ing people to download an app they might be able to get into at some future point.
