I often hear about certain ski towns and other locales known for winters getting less snow (but maybe more rain) than, say, a generation ago but are there any receiving more (ideally not just an increase from zero)?
What sorts of local climates (if any, I really don’t know the subject) might become more temperate? What areas might be best insulated from global warming.
In addition, can anyone explain what sorts of geographic conditions might result in such pockets atypical of macro trends?
An anecdote, and thus completely subjective: it feels like San Francisco proper has gotten more seasonal than when I was growing up (although I can remember two occasions of it hailing as a child but never in recent memory). Also less interested in outliers.
