What brings you to HN everyday?

I just realized I&rsquo;ve been accessing this website for at least 13 years and I still don&rsquo;t have a concrete answer

By analogy, I come back to HN because it's like taking a stroll through an interesting tech-focused pawn shop: each time I visit there are new facinating things to discover and learn. (In contrast to a stroll through a typical shopping Mall where you only see mass consumer goods from mainstream brands).

This has been my primary source for hearing about promising tech before it reaches the crowds, so finding things to early adopt. Also interesting science and math, as well as startup related content. The perfect mix for my preferences (*).* several recent posts have been discussing the changing content / discourse on HN, which I am increasingly holding as a belief as well

Frankly, it's my new social media addiction. It just has the added benefit of being (mostly) educational and intellectually stimulating. Just enough for me to feel like I'm not really wasting time.
