Is it true that “What happens in a Zoom stays in a Zoom?”

There was a thing that happened during a Zoom call. I'd like to prove that it happened. Is there a way to contact Zoom for the video recovery? Should an employer be keeping a record of Zoom calls somehow for a certain number of days? Or are they totally private and any evidence of wrongdoing lost like tears in the rain?
