If you take lot of Vitamin D what else do you supplement with and why?
I have read things that indicate that vitamin D alone is not ideal. So wondering what are other people doing.
Vitamin K2 is a must, because without it all the extra calcium will be just hanging in your blood and that's not good.
D increases absorption, while K2 increases utilization. And we're all starved of K2 because industrial farmers feed crappy food to our animals...
Melatonin and turmeric. The melatonin is actually more to help me wake up than fall asleep. I used to have a horrible time waking up. Now I usually wake up right before my alarm goes off.
Macula carotenoids: lutein , zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin
For eye health. I actually only went for this supplement because the BBC had a documentary about it and it proved to be helpful for the eyes.
Fish oil, just because im not getting enough fish lately lol.
I take 5k IU of Jarrow Formula D3.
What is the recommended amount of K2?
