I've just killed my 3rd MS Sculpt in 3 years. It's without a doubt the best keyboard for long coding sessions I've had, but it does seem to be of poor build quality.
Are there any good alternatives?

The official replacement is the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard. It doesn't use as much plastic, but the Alcantara wears out fast.
