How hardware upgrade decreased your build time?

Are you a developer that upgraded hardware lately? What was the impact on development compilation / build time of your project? Share hardware specs, times and software stack.

I had an old first gen Ryzen 3 and was trying to hack some FreeBSD driver to work on my system. If I recall correctly I waited around 3 hours till 3am to build the full FreeBSD image to test with.I would later upgrade to my current machine with a Ryzen 9 3900X and basically just let the cores go to work building. I believe it took 15-20 minutes to build the same image.
