How Do You Roadmap

Question

I find Jira, Aha, etc to be mediocre for in depth planning. Most the tools are geared towards either individual task management, or gants/timelines that have more to do with defining deadlines. And both are clunky. I want a tool that lets you easily define complex dependencies, edit them frequently, and do bulk operations easily.

Hi, there is a lot of ambiguity in your question. If you can elaborate your usecase, you will get better responses. It would help if you can clarify what dependencies and operations you would like to model.
That said, I assume you are looking for a tool specializing in roadmap. If so, have you tried Prodpad or ProductBoard? ProductBoard is popular among the product manager community.
There is also several roadmap plugins in JIRA.

How do you roadmap seems to be a question about the process not the tooling. I find the former much more important than the latter.As far as tooling goes, smartsheets sucks and omniplan is really good !
