Is Python's pip extremely slow for anyone else?
It probably takes 30 seconds for it to do anything useful for me
With the recent release of version 20.3, the project switched to a new dependency resolver. It has several advantages, but does work much slower. Hopefully it will improve in subsequent releases. A part of the job must be done by package maintainers, that is to better state their dependencies. For now, you can optionally switch to the old resolver.
