Has anyone hired a coach to learn a particular skill? was it worth it?

Oh yeah do this all the time. One on one or small groups. In the past it was a potpourri of things like piano, deep learning, surfing, dancing, etc. Nowadays with a kid it's things like cpr, swaddling, etc.

One thing I have never, ever thought: "I wish I spent less time/less money paying for all those in person classes and lessons."

Now if only I can figure out how to get my daughter to learn this lesson before she's 30.
