Best app you discovered in 2020?

What's the best app you discovered, or rediscovered, in 2020?

Mine is Brief [1], which has been a refreshingly simple way for me to consume news without loads of editorialization. My favorite features:

* each "brief" provides a timeline of events (in the form of other news briefs) leading up to the event that the brief is about, which makes understanding context much easier

* you can text the editor directly from the app

* all sources are immediately available

* the "Verbatim" section provides quotes from leading officials on the subject (senators, AP, diplomats, etc)

* reasonable pricing at $10/month

I am in no way affiliated with Brief and actually discovered them on HN.

TextSniper.app

It does simple OCR, but it's so well-designed that it changed the way I use my computer. It's effectively copy and paste, except now I can copy text from scenes in movies, images I come across online, copy-protected pdf files, interface copy in other apps, etc...

Sadly, for the developers, the app is so handy, I imagine Apple will sherlock the thing shortly.
