I'm almost always on ##linux ##philosophy ##programming and #music on freenode :) Why I like them? They are about topics that interest me, in #music people often link stuff I'd have no other way of discovering, and if I am getting into a groove, I can link to something and someone else will link something similar, which I may have not heard before.

Then there's the anonradio channel, but also "com" on the sdf, and the #tildetown channel on.. tilde.town :) Those are mainly just to hang out and talk to people about whatever.

Now, your turn, answer your own question! :-)

I haven't been on in years. I used to be on Freenode. I forget the exact names since some have similar names to others. Might have been #politics for the debates, #philosophy for debates and ideas, ##guns (got banned from #guns or vice versa) for knowledge, and then a programming or programming language channel to give or recieve help with whatever language I was working on.

#blender, #python and #lua on Freenode. #love (LÖVE Game Engine) on OFTC.

I host my own ZNC IRC bouncer and as a client I use plain good old irssi on either windows (MSYS2) or Linux.

Generally freenode. I often lurk in the room for whatever lang/framework I'm using. Beyond that I don't use IRC for communication.

Are there any good Discord Servers as well? I find discord as a much better and updated community tool than IRC.

#gynvaelstream-en, #archlinux-pl, #lobsters @ freenode :)
