When did Amazon add “global ratings” unrelated to the actual item?

For example, sorting for average customer review on this misled me into thinking this item had 22K ratings... when it seems to have just 1. https://www.amazon.com/iSnatch-Headphone-Adapter-Compatible-Lightning/product-reviews/B08PHJWCKQ

And an additional comment...the unrelated items is called Twistering...it comes from the devices you put with the asin as "styles" it away vendors 1P or 3p can shift over all appearance of reviews...the end-user does have the ability to filter everything down on the reviews filter page...but ultimately I question do people look that far...ALSO comments are fold under so end users can see review...but have to click through to comments...which make them much less value...Amazon has improved things alot but this could be better for end-users...which ultimately I think is your issue...

Over the summer they started blending it in category by category. Then Right before Prime day it became permanent...It's very tricky because you can see reviews from other regions but interacting with them like providing help to your users is challenging...
