Given technology advancements since Arecibo was originally built, and assuming the site has been cleared, how would you go about rebuilding it? Would a replacement need to be as heavy?

FAST in China is basically a modern version of Arecibo, isn't it? (with some minor differences) Construction started in 2011 and it was declared fully operational in January this year.
