Anyone else notice black Friday deals are not that good this year?

I have been watching the deals on Amazon and deals from my local big box stores. So far the supposed deal prices are higher on many items than they were in the spring at regular price.It seems prices are up 10 to 20 % right across the spectrum of product categories. This seems outside normal inflation.I would like to know if this is just happening in my region(Pacific Northwest) or everywhere.

I've noticed the same. My theory is that it must have to do with COVID, but that doesn't really make sense, given that Amazon & Co. have been making a killing this year.
