Why does Amazon display “Country of Origin” in India but not elsewhere?

Question

I would like to buy products based on where they are manufactured, but Amazon India (amazon.in) is the only website that display this information.. and the problem here is that when I find a product I like on Amazon India then it has an India-specific brand model that I can't find outside of Indian e-commerce websites.
