Alternative to unison for two-way syncing?

I just received this error after upgrading my laptop:

Failed: Server: Fatal error during unmarshaling (input_value: ill-formed message), possibly because client and server have been compiled with differentversions of the OCaml compiler.
Yes, it's the same version of unison on both ends, 2.48.4.

Is there a good alternative to unison two-way syncing? My use case is some files which may be touched from several laptops, not simultaneously. I run unison before and after working with the files and therefore always have the most up-to-date file.

I've considered DropBox, etc., but I prefer keeping my data on my machines.

Used to use Unison when we were using macs...

Now I use rsync with -delete option

Maybe Rclone or Duplicati
