However what makes me even more sick is americans aggressively pushing their views onto the rest of us. What's more concerning is the active cancel culture, public shaming and an outright harassment.
Making it akin to racism these people fight against.
Harassment of bbatsov:https://github.com/rubocop-hq/rubocop/issues/8091
BTW some unnecessary etymology that I guess has to be changed because americans find it offensive:
Slavs -> The English term slave derives from the ethnonym Slav. In medieval wars many Slavs were captured and enslaved, which led to the word slav becoming synonym to "enslaved person".[21][22][23] In addition, the English word Slav derives from the Middle English word sclave, which was borrowed from Medieval Latin sclavus or slavus,
Robot -> 'Robot' was first applied as a term for artificial automata in the 1920 play R.U.R. by the Czech writer, Karel Čapek. However, Josef Čapek was named by his brother Karel as the true inventor of the term robot.[7][8] The word 'robot' itself was not new, having been in the Slavic language as robota (forced laborer), a term which classified those peasants obligated to compulsory service under the feudal system
If that doesn't work and the Americans still keep imposing the toxic cancel culture on us, then I'm afraid it ultimately gets to nothing short of low-level mudslinging, I see no other way.
Just as only a thorn can take out another thorn, or nail can pick another nail, we must use cancel culture to out these American "cancel culturists" out of our projects and spaces. In other words, us normal folk must also unwillingly have to resort to cancel culture to defend and protect our spaces from those who pollute it with cancel culture, its a bit ironical but the only available solution. Does that make sense?
