The US has superiority in technology (and has for a number of years) because we have the best people, as well as immigration policies to bring in more, based on a real meritocracy.

I don't doubt this, and the NSA is in effect the password manager for the world, since they could have access to the world’s newest computers, so what? Somebody has to be that person, why not us?

We have proven to be the country that is most capable of peace, and we donate the most to charity (and have the most generous philanthropists) in the world. Why are people still doubting that we want to do good in the world?
I'm quite interested in these arguments, and I'm keen to see if others have some good arguments they'd like to share. I guess it's a type of 'crowdsourcing' of arguments - if you will.

I have made a throwaway account because somehow people think this arbitrary position is political and I've been attacked before, when actually my positionss are just common sense, and builds on what has worked in our evolution as homo sapiens so far. Should we really just throw away progress?]
