Why are people investing in a cartoon mouse and not solutions

There is no doubt the Keynes' quote rings true even in what may be an existential crisis:

"The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent."

As 10's of millions are at home and likely will not have jobs to return to...why are people investing in a cartoon mouse that owns theme parks, hotels, and cruise ships? All of these businesses are shut down. Sure they have a streaming service, and maybe all the millionaire and billionaire investors all know something we don't (Senators certainly did).

Can't we shut the markets down, and wouldn't it be beneficial so the 1%er's have no more games to play and money making opportunities while the workers of the country suffer?

Debt and securities markets are how for-profit companies can get capital needed to survive the crisis.

The govt should certainly focus on citizens rather than bailing out businesses, but it's in the public interest for vital businesses like airlines and hotels to survive, and shutting down the investment channels for the "1%" would prevent those people from assuming that risk.
