Is it always hard to find co-founders?

Even for those who have worked at big tech / FAANG?

Yes! Maybe even especially FAANG people, since they’re used to large environments and different ways of doing things.

There’s two things to do if you’re looking to find a cofounder.

1. Build something. People are attracted to momentum, and the more traction you have the easier it’ll be to find someone to join. It seems backwards, but almost all teams I know came together after the product was (at least mostly) launched.

2. Be generous. Sure, you started it and had the idea and all that. But for this to work it needs to be an almost-equal partnership.

Obviously you can circumvent this with things like having a friend you already work well with, or a coworker also looking to make a jump. But still, I think these two rules will help!
