Move to California for Work?
Currently I work in Salt Lake City for a financial company on contract, but my background check has taken 3 months and quite honestly has pissed me off. I have applied to a business analyst position but not counting on it. I currently have a BA in Business with a Minor in Marketing and currently am in my mid 20s. As a plan B I was thinking of taking the jump and moving to Sacramento if I could land a job there or in the Bay Area. I do have a small github , have been working on a side commercial project I plan to commercialize, and also my mentor I grew up with in the Midwest lives there. I don't want to go Willy nilly into this, but if I can get a job that is concrete I am wondering if moving there from SLC might be a good idea or I am blowing hot air? I have been trying to make some new projects and learn some new things, such as Java, but not trying to rush. I mostly have dabbled with scrapping and packages like beautiful soup. Also I was thinking of sprucing up my resume and placing my LinkedIn location in SF Bay Area. Am I stupid for thinking this and also I do have a fiance who is currently not in college so would it be feasible for us to make this work? Thanks.
The Bay area is famous for very high priced housing and long commutes.
