Stick to what you’re good at vs. learn to do it yourself?

Is it binary? Is it not? Where is the golden inbetween? I would love to know people&rsquo;s thoughts and experiences, particularly in this personally venturing through new domains. Eg a programmer learning design or vise versa.

If the choice were binary you would never learn anything new. I try to do as much as I can on my own, growing my skills where necessary. Once I&rsquo;ve reached a point where I am satisfied with my learnings, or at the extent of my abilities, I get help from others.
